Who We Are: Our Doctor

Dr. Henry is a Pennsylvania native from the Pittsburgh area and U.S. Navy veteran and former Naval Flight Surgeon. He is an honors graduate of Georgetown College of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa national honors society as well as two other national honor societies. He studied medicine at the Georgetown University School of Medicine, also in Washington. He completed his internship in Surgery at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Following his internship Dr. Henry served as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Navy in the United States and on multiple overseas assignments including several in the Middle East. Following completion of his military service, Dr. Henry returned to Washington to complete his residency in ophthalmology at the Georgetown University Center for Sight, Department of Ophthalmology followed by a fellowship in Oculoplastic and Orbit Surgery and Neuro-ophthalmology at the Kresge Eye Institute at Wayne State University and the Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Henry is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society.
